NORTHWESTERN MICHIGAN COLLEGE MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

This week, international students at Northwestern Michigan College were awarded over $20,000 in scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year. The funds were awarded as part of the College’s Global Opportunities initiative — NMC’s dedication to international education and to making a U.S. education accessible to students from around the globe.

Incoming student, Carolina Barbosa commented, “I think that getting a scholarship award is not about the money, but definitely about making you realize that what you have done so far was great, and that there are people who believe that you can do even better! I’m really glad that I chose NMC to start my studies in America!”

Additional scholarships are available for the spring 2014 semester that begins in January. Scholarships will range from $500-$2000 each. To become eligible, a student must first apply to Northwestern Michigan College online.
